Attempt #2 – Chocolate Macarons with Chocolate Ganache

Piping into circles - batter is smooth and shiny; good size and flat courtesy of B. The key to piping is squeeze from the top with right hand, and point straight down.

After piping - shells are flat with feet, but the feet slightly surround the shell instead of being under it.

Finished product - looks better than the first trial

Shells
Taste: more like the crisp crunch of a cookie, missing the chewiness
Appearance: flat shells, better than first time. But in some, the feet surround the shell instead of being under it – Oven temperature too high/overbaked a bit?

Ganache
Taste: pretty good, overall sweet

Verdict: looks better than the first attempt of green tea, but I think the green tea version tastes slightly better, so we will probably stick to that recipe but practice in the macaronage and piping process.
